Kithora grew from a straightforward observation: families navigating change — whether a shift in living arrangements, the redistribution of shared responsibilities, or simply a period of adjustment — often struggle not because the decisions are impossibly hard, but because the conversations around those decisions are. People talk past each other. Important paperwork sits unorganised. Nobody quite knows who holds which piece of information.
The name Kithora draws from the idea of people gathering in a shared, sheltered place. Our founders wanted a name that felt calm rather than corporate, and that suggested belonging — the idea that a family working through something difficult deserves a space that feels like theirs.
Based at Jalan Gaya in Kota Kinabalu, we work with families from across Sabah. Our sessions are run by experienced facilitators who understand both the practical and human dimensions of family coordination. We are not lawyers or counsellors, and we do not pretend to be. What we offer is a structured, calm, and non-judgemental space for learning and organisation.

Meet the Kithora Team
Our facilitators come from backgrounds in adult education, coordination, and family support work. None of us are lawyers or counsellors — that boundary is intentional and important to us.
Siti Suriani
Lead Facilitator & Co-Founder
Siti has spent over a decade working in adult communication education across Sabah. She designed the Courtyard Conversations framework and leads most of our workshop sessions.
Rajesh Kumar
Organisation Systems & Co-Founder
Rajesh developed Kithora's information organisation methodology. He brings a background in coordination and records management, with a particular interest in making systems accessible for everyday families.
Aireen Lim
Programme Coordinator
Aireen manages session scheduling and client coordination. She is usually the first person you'll speak with, and she takes particular care to ensure every family feels comfortable before their first session.

Participant Privacy
All information shared in sessions is treated with strict discretion. We maintain a clear written policy on data handling, available on request.
Education-Only Scope
Our facilitators are trained to operate strictly within an educational and organisational scope. We do not give legal, financial, or psychological advice.
Clear Referral Practice
When a family's needs go beyond our scope, we point them to the appropriate professional clearly and without delay — solicitors, financial planners, or other registered practitioners.
Structured Session Guides
Every programme follows a documented session guide. Participants always know what to expect before they arrive, and they leave with written materials to refer back to.
Voluntary Participation
We do not pressure families into any particular format or commitment. All sessions are entered voluntarily, and families are encouraged to ask questions before booking.
Continuous Facilitator Development
Our team regularly participates in workshops and peer review to keep our facilitation practices current and effective.

Kithora is one of a small number of organisations in East Malaysia specifically focused on family communication education and shared information organisation.
